Which Massage Therapy?

We belive that all forms of massage are beneficial and all massage affects our "Ki" o Japanese for our life force energy. We also believe that different physical and mental conditions require different types of massage.

Much modern illness is stress / anxiety / fatigue which can lead to general aches and pains throughout our body, most commonly head, neck and shoulders. Regular massage improves overall health - it counteracts stress and can be of assistance in treating: muscular tension, headaches, migraine, insomnia, anxiety, emotional stress etc.

In general massage has a beneficial effect on breathing, digestion, circulation and posture enabling deep relaxation and revitalisation.

Massage for Sport / Occupational Injuries

It is always a good idea to have a massage before and / after a sporting event. Golf, Tennis, Squash, Swimming, Aerobics, Marathons, Races, etc. Prevention is better than cure.

  • Massage reduces the risk of injury by keeping the muscles supple and ridding them of lactic     acid.
  • Massage as part of a fitness or strength - building program stimulates the body and lead to     greater performance.
  • Massage for speedy recovery is essential for the committed sports person.
  • Massage can assist the healing process for many sports injuries.
  • Massage can be effective for the recovery from RSI, also many injuries caused by lifting,     whiplash injuries etc.
  •
What should I do after my treatment?

  • To receive the full benefit, relax for an hour or so as the body's healing has already begun.
  • Drink plenty of water (still or filtered) to help flush out wastes and toxins.
  • Avoid alcohol before and after the treatment.
  •
